Reports, studies, and critical comments made by the commission, state universities (e.g., University of Illinois, Southern Illinois University, Northwestern University), Illinois Engineering Council Special Advisory Committee to the Illinois Commission of Higher Education and the American Society for Engineering Education concern engineering education recommendations. Files also include questionnaires completed by high schools, junior colleges, four-year colleges and universities (i.e., in and out-of-state), and industries on Illinois engineering programs and engineer utilization. Final questionnaire analyses tabulate number of engineers, engineering technicians, and engineering graduates in other fields employed in Illinois.
